Position -Project Engineer/ Manager

Project Engineer, Capacity planning and cycle time reduction. Track and control projects in terms of safety, quality, cost and delivery timing. Report to the Director or CEO regularly about status of current projects.  Identify critical deadlines and project issues to management for evaluation. Support Associates in developing schedules, applications and presentations for projects and activities. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, programming and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.  Monitors and analyses production performance metrics to ensure that cost and quality targets are maintained (production yield, defect paretos). Identify and justify projects for improving manufacturing capability, yields, productivity, and capacity. Develop and deliver technical information documents, estimates, reports or training documentation. Provide technical direction, training and education to customers and vendors. Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost. Confer with suppliers, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities and project status.  Design, layout and document equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency.  Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities. Communicate with management and associates to develop production and design standards. Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control. Schedule deliveries based on production forecasts, material substitutions, storage and handling facilities, and maintenance requirements. Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations. Identifies cost reductions/value analysis for improvement of processes, products, and methods. Estimate labor, fixture, and tooling requirements for new or revised products. Create reports as need-ed for monitoring time, labor, and processes. Monitor trends and recommend/ implement/ coordinate corrective action to improve products, processes, and methods to reduce cost and increase value in accordance with lean manufacturing methodologies. Determine specifications and source vendors for capital equipment expenditures. Use of Solidworks, AutoCAD, CNC Software, Microsoft Office Suite.
